Venice, one of the most attractive city for travelers, once kept independence over thousand years as a republican city state.
With powerful military power and active trade, Venetian enjoyed their prosperous years in 13th century. In the Renaissance era, the culture of Venice came to full maturity. Works of Venetian-school painters and artisan (especially of glass) fascinated high-class people of all over the Europe. Now we can find the glory of “The queen of the Adriatic sea” at Piazza San Marco, Palazzo Ducale, and many places of the beautiful city above the sea.
In this exhibition, the history and culture of Venice will be shown. About 140 items came from Venetian city museums, including works which inform us about historical events and life of nobles, and paintings by Venetian-school masters.
