The city of Reims in northern France is a historical city renowned for the production of Champagne, an iconic sparkling wine. The Museum of Fine Arts, Reims is located at the center of the town and houses an extensive collection of 19th century paintings, especially landscape works. This exhibition will feature over 70 art works from its collection, including 16 works of Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot, 7 works of Eugéne Boudin, and works from other artists such as Gustave Courbet, Jules Dupré, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet, and Camille Pissarro.
This exhibition will retrace the development of modern French landscape painting from Barbizon School to Impressionism by showcasing the paintings and prints of various artists in the 19th century.
